Arrows Christian Academy
Founded in 2015, Arrows exists to reach out to families in Southern Oregon to meet needs in a variety of ways. We offer an exciting once weekly homeschool co-op for all ages, a Community Center, and a two day hybrid (home/school) program with teachers and weekly lesson plans. Teachers lay out lesson plans for parents to do on the days at home.

Arrows is a Christian homeschool support program. They have a co-op day. They also have a hybrid academy.
I spent a day at the Central Point campus and this is what I learned: teachers are primarily homeschooling parents whose children are in the academy. Curriculum is decided on by the administration and teachers as a team. Lesson plans are created as a team as well. They cover all core subjects (and more). The teachers provide a weekly schedule of what will be covered and what resources will be used in the classroom to teach those lessons. They offer materials for students to continue working at home. Parents have the choice to use them or not. Teachers do not do any sort of grading or transcripts. The days look very similar to a "regular" school with a couple of unique features. Students can use their own curriculum for specific subjects, especially math. Sensory needs are respected. Jesus is respected, but no specific doctrine is taught. Before I went in person, I was skeptical and didn't quite see the value. Once I decided for myself that grading and accreditation were not a priority, I was able to see Arrows in a new light. They handle the "hard stuff" and leave the "fun stuff" for home! That is an opposite approach to most other programs. The other thing that really impressed me was the level of transparency. They provide a printout to parents the week before with everything (down to the specific verses that will be presented) written out for parents. That gave me great comfort to know ahead of time what my child was going to learn and what concepts/subjects she would be introduced to. Arrows is all about parent partnership.
Of all of the opportunities in our valley, I hear the MOST rave reviews of Arrows, both the co-op and the academy. Well done, friends!!!
